I am so close to being done with this big project I can taste it. I am 100% done with phase 1, 80% done with phase 2, and phase 3 is about 46% done. I have been taking Adderall everyday, starting work at 9a (which means waking up at 7:45a…gross), and grinding my ass off to finish this thing. Details of the project should be released soon (sorry for the secrecy!)…and I can’t wait to start getting some feedback and reviews!

Life has actually been going really well. Waking up so early has done crazy shit to me…but I am feeling mentally strong right now. It’s also odd getting tired around 10:30p…but I suppose that is part of getting older lol. I’m still working on finding a balance between my relationship and work…but it’s coming along. I am very thankful that the lady friend is incredibly supportive of me working…which oddly enough makes me want to work less. But it happens I suppose…
.
I think I’m going to go play some live this weekend. I have been itching to get some grinding in and feel very poker strong right now. I’m sure other US players agree with me when I say that I miss being able to sit down, fire up 4 tables of RUSH, and just grind away for a few hours. Now if I want to play poker I have to put on pants…which I don’t want to do. Thanks government for making me wear pants…jerks
.
And on that random note, I am going to go grab some dinner before relaxing with the lady friend. Then right back to work tomorrow morning to crush through the rest of my work load and hopefully get everything ready to rock for next week. Hope all is well, and have a solid weekend!

Oct 19 – Don’t Ever Say This At A Poker Table…
The last week has been pretty jam packed. Between my new project, making some new videos for PokerBank, and also enjoying a social life…I have been spread pretty thin. The videos I made for PokerBank are pretty awesome imo…as I started a new series which should be released soon. I will just give you a hint…it involves 3bet pots =). I am also still accepting HHs or DBs for review…so if you want me to try making a video from your hands…just email me at splitsuit @ gmail.com and I’ll see what I can do…

I also got some live poker in which was nice. My friend and I went up to Red Rock and just wanted to shoot the shit playing some 200NL. The table was kind of meh…with a decent player to my left, and a bunch of tighter spots around the table (with 2 fish across the table). As time passed though players were getting tired and playing tighter PF…which allowed me to do a lot of isolating (my friend had my direct right and got lazy with isolating which gave me opps). Most of my profit was made just ISO+CB+win…as I think I hit about nothing all night.
.
My favorite hand of the night was this…and it relates to the title of the post. If you are ever playing…don’t ever let players know that you are on a shortroll and are super elastic to bet sizes. It just allows good players to run bigger bluffs on you. This particular player was on my direct left and open limped UTG. A couple more limps and I knock my option in the BB with T5o. The flop comes 8h7h6s. I lead for $7 into $10, and the guy on my left raises to $15 (which is really odd for him). It folds back to me and I call. The turn is a 2c and I check to him. He bets $21 and I wait about a minute before CRing to $73. He hems and haws and eventually calls. River was a Js and I effective jam for $200. He folds A4hh, and I show my ten high. Now 2 things are important here. 1.) His hand has to be some sort of draw or weakish pair and draw when he minraises the flop given his play style. But I still want to jam the river to ensure he folds JT or 98 type hands on the river. And that relates to 2.) Don’t give people too much information. I can’t run that bluff on many other live players…but I can on someone who probably doesn’t even call a river shove with a random 2 pair that he might have on the river.

Everything else has been solid. Just grinding and working my ass off. I’m about to head back to work and get some editing done…so hopefully all is well with you!

Oct 12 – Crushing Slowly
So I have officially undertaken a pretty sizable project. I got all of the prep work done over the weekend, and have started the next phase of the project this week. I am 26% done with this phase…and then have 2 more phases to go (which will take the longest…but should be able to get hammered in 2 weeks or so). It feels good to be diving this hard into a project…and I think I can easily get this done by the first week of November. Sorry for the vagueness…but I will give more details on the project when it is more correct to do so =)
.

.
I also met up with Tri/slowhabit last week. He was in town and we grabbed dinner on the strip. I also got to meet his brother who was a cool kid…it’s always nice to see brothers that work like an awesome team. I also met up with some of my college friends who were in town…and grabbed some good food and caught up (as it had been awhile). It’s always nice when everyone is in town on one week. It’s a bit more stressful…but it makes for a great week none the less =)
.
Everything else is going well. I have been spending a lot of time with the girl friend, and did pumpkins with her + her son yesterday. Because I am a giant internet nerd, I decided to do my favorite internet smiley face…and you can see my awesome work right here:
.

.
Besides that, everything else is going well. I am just going to keep crushing this project and hopefully finish ASAP. And maybe by the time I post next I can give more details =) Hope all is well!

Oct 3 – 2011 Homestretch
I love and hate going into Q4 of the year. I love it because it gives me a solid 3 month period where I can get my ass into action and finish the year strong. But I hate it because I only have 3 months before totally starting fresh in 2012. This year has actually been excellent…between having a better social and financial year than 2010…so no complaints from me. I still have a lot to do before yearend…but I am keeping a very optimistic outlook on it all.
.

.
The last week or so was pretty solid. Ended up doing yoga twice…and also doing a lot more exercise during the day (as sitting for hours straight while working is very unhealthy). Even just doing a set of pushups every 1/2hr does the trick (and increases strength as well!). My diet has been ok, with minimal desserts and a heavier focus on well-sized portions and fruits/veggies every day. Overall I have been feeling a lot better physically and mentally…the only thing that really needs improvement right now is my focus levels. But I suppose I am still in an adjustment phase…so I’ll cut myself some slack.
.
I also might be undertaking a big project going into the end of the year. I think I want to try and get it out before Xmas…which is possible if I hustle hard and grindcore for like a month straight. October is an excellent month because the only holiday is at the very end…so I have a few weeks where I can really focus and crush. I’m going to finish outlining it, see if I get the green light, and then discuss it in more detail when the time is right. But if the blog posts are taking even longer….that is why, lol. Speaking of which, does anyone have any interest in buying GreatestPlaylist? I don’t think I’ll have a tremendous amount of time for it…and I also got out of it what I wanted (to sandbox some SEO stuff and create sustainable Google traffic). If you are interested, just email me at splitsuit @ gmail.com
.
And on that note…I’m going to get some more outlining and prep work done. Cheers to a solid end of the year!
