The Tank is a group coaching session led by myself (or possibly with guest coaches). Each Tank will be a 1.5hr session with up to 8 students in each. Concepts that will be covered will range from simple concepts like preflop ranges and CB-ing to more advanced concepts like bluff lines and hand reading.
.
A simple FAQ:
1.) How much will it cost?: The price will be $25-$45/student/session.
2.) Why does this cost so much less than 1-on-1 coaching?: This will a little less personal than 1-on-1 coaching. I don’t think it is fair to charge quite so much because lots of people need to be considered during each Tank. However, you will still get your questions answered, and will still be encouraged to ask questions in-session when you have them.
3.) What does the structure look like?: Each Tank will run a little differently. As it currently lies, the first half of the session will be work on a major concept or 2 (such as CB-ing, facing 3b’s, hand reading, etc). After that we will go through hands submitted by you and the other students. We may not have time to get through all the hands, but we will do our best to get as much done as possible…and if the session goes over 1.5hrs, it happens…
4.) Is The Tank for me?: Are you looking to improve? Do you have questions on concepts or concerns about your play? If you want to learn, feel that working in a group environment and having ideas bouncing around would be beneficial, and/or enjoy improving your game…then The Tank is for you!
5.) When does The Tank run?: Check above for Tank sessions and their date/times. If you are interested in being in any session, then please fill out and email the application below and I will respond back ASAP.
Here are what some people have said about The Tank:
I was involved with what I believe to be the first Tank Session that Split has run. We had 7 people including myself, if I remember correctly.
It was very beneficial to me as I was able to hear multiple perspectives on playing hands as well as being able to have the guidance of Split on hands and various poker theory topics as well. I am eager to place the discussion and suggestions into practice and see some results from the Tank session.
Split overall is a very down-to-earth, friendly, and easy to talk to coach. He will not make you feel inadequate or stupid in any way. As I progress in my road to poker awesomeness, I will definitely seek further guidance from Split and I would recommend his coaching to anyone else.

I was also in the 1st tank…
It was a very good experience. I do not have a really big “poker friend” circle at all, (it honestly only consists of SS and myself, lol), so it was really refreshing to get together with a bunch of people and learn/discuss together something we’re all passionate about…
There was very good discussion and the really good part about it is we had people from all different limits, so we really had good discussions. It was a very good experience that I plan on doing as soon as he has another one.
I’ve been taking lessons from split for over a year and I can honestly say if it wasn’t for Split I would have been broke sooooooo long ago. He’s taken me from a passive minded player, to an attacking long term winner.

And here are a few things that people have said about my coaching:
“SplitSuit was very helpful and very professional. He was on time for all of our sessions. He took the time to find out where I was in my poker development, in general, and my full-ring nlhe development specifically. He was then able to effectively coach me in areas that proved to have a very positive impact on my winrate. He helped me with my preflop game as well as my postflop game. He helped me with my HUD set up, with table selection and with multi-tabling considerations. His demeanor was always calm, yet upbeat and he had a good sense of humor as well. I ended as a pretty big winner at both 25nl and 50nl “

“Anyway, that one tip has been huge, so I wanted to make sure to thank you for that and for all the coaching you’ve provided. I’m a MUCH better player thanks to your coaching sessions”
-Doug
“Working with SplitSuit has opened my eyes to the next step in my game I was looking for. The first session in itself payed for itself when Split taught me how to size my bets, taylor my agression as well as manage short stacks. After that Split heavily focused on maths, which I had never worked on in depth, and this oppened yet another door for my game. Lately, we’ve been working on ranges and range merging… and the results are already positive.”

“SS has a great way of working. I am a teacher, and I can really say SS knows how to explain stuff to people. He gives you room to make mistakes, but he will always send you to the right direction.
He only gives advice, you have to make it work, he can only show you to way, you have to walk it. If you apply what he says, it will work for sure”
