It has been awhile since I made a video, so I decided to make a LAG video at 25NL today. I ran 30/25, 3b: 14% and ATS: 76%. The video goes over pressure spots, some 3b-ing, some talk about when to lay off, and examining our image to make optimal plays. This is a precursor to the “TAG 2 LAG” article I will be writing for the COTW in a few weeks. Enjoy the video, and any questions/comments are welcome!

Still working my way thru this, with interest. I’m a little confused about table selection, I suppose. First you say you prefer tighter tables, because generally you don’t want multiway pots, but then you later are also happy to see at least one fish per table. I generally table select for the loosest tables possible; although if the table becomes a rock garden with just one really bad fish I’m happy to stick around. As a LAG am I doing it wrong?
I obviously like fish…but usually they make looser tables so I have to tighten up (for better or worse…i mean you should never really go to a table thinking “eff this, I’m playing LAG today and thats all I’m going to do”…it should be “I am going to play poker today and I am going to take what is given to me…so at a loose table i will play tighter and at a tighter table i will play looser…but always adjusting”).
If you really want to play LAG you want tight tables that you can run over. You don’t want MW pots, you don’t want aggro 3b’rs, you don’t want a guy calling you often when he has position, etc. I was pretty lazy with table evaluation in this video…I just wanted hands and to show the adjustments

Well, you see, what I like about playing LAG is that I’m in more pots with the fish, and in multiway pots I often enough am given correct pot odds to hit my draw (and if I’m wrong, sometimes miracles happen), and, sure, HU post-flop I can, with a little finesse, outplay the TAGfish. But, I dunno, perhaps we can do dinner when you are back in the Bean next month and sort it all out. I can, at the very least, afford a few cheeseburgers.
