Feb 1 – Welcome To A New Month!

The last few days have been really solid. I finished up the month pretty strong, and I think it was my busiest month ever based on pure hours. Last Friday I ended up recording a video (playing AK) which I think turned out pretty well. I plan on getting the full thing edited this week, and then hopefully it will be available for sale by the weekend. I have decided that I am going to start taking at least 1 day off per week (well, off in the sense that I won’t coach)…as I need to start taking better care of my stress levels. I think I’m going to see a doc this week just to make sure everything is alright as well…

Last Friday I also went out on a date (first one in awhile). She was cool…just didn’t get the right vibe. But we ended up walking about 3mi along the strip…so at least I got some exercise. I dropped her off around midnight and then headed over to the SunCoast to meet up with my friends. We were going to bowl, but had to wait a lil while for some reason…so went down to the casino. Seth wanted to play craps and asked me if I wanted to roll. I said that I would under the stipulation that I gambled no money (as I had an issue with that in college, and thus no longer allow myself to take -EV bets). I actually ended up rolling for 25min straight, and made him a few hundred. He was happy, and it felt interesting to roll dice again. Probably won’t be something that I do much though, lol

The weekend was spent getting some relaxing and work done. I also decided that I was going to start my diet, so I cleared out my fridge and bought all new stuff. My goal is to cut down on the sodium (so microwaveable meals and pizza are pretty much gone), and also start eating more fruits (I will ease into veggies, lol). I am still getting used to it…and I find myself a lot hungier during the day…but hopefully a lil improvement in the diet will help me feel better physically. It sucks going to the gym 4x/week and still having physical pains. O well…it is what it is I suppose.
.
I also got some disc golf in over the weekend. My goal is to get outside every day the wind is less than 5mph. My disc seems to have gotten longer, though I need to spend a lil time getting my putting and drive control back. My mid game has gotten pretty sloppy…but I would expect after a month of playing for it to get stronger. I actually have a protege coming into town this weekend and I’ll probably take him out to play (as he’s never played before). I cannot wait for the summer to come along…and I also am looking forward to the WSOP. Hopefully I can get some traction this year and improve upon last year’s performance. And on that note…I am going to get some sleep as I have a megawall (4 students back-to-back) tomorrow. Hope all is well!
