Jan 1 – Happy New Year!

Happy new year everyone! It feels good to put an end to 2011 and start 2012 with a fresh slate. 2011 turned out to be a solid year for me, and barring Black Friday, I don’t really have any complaints. In 2011 I started a new business, improved my iPortfolio, did some traveling, took a couple vacations, met my amazing GF, made a ton of videos, and had a lot of fun while doing it all. I got back from my vacation to OR last week, and quickly got back into the work swing (which has yet to cease), but I’m hoping to take 2012 a bit easier on myself. Fingers crossed!

The vacation to OR was solid. Got to meet my GF’s mom and GF, which went well. Pretty much just relaxed the whole time and cooked, ate, played card games, and kicked it. The drive there and back weren’t too bad, each averaging about 14hrs with stops and such. Also got to see some really awesome scenery (between the green in OR and the stars in the desert night), so no complaints at all. This was my first Christmas ever that I didn’t spend with my own family, and I think it went well. It’s always a tough holiday for me (due to my brother), but I’m happy with how I handled it.

Since I’ve been back in Vegas I’ve gotten some video stuff done, some coaching done, and also added some stuff to the Poker Store. I decided to take some videos from the 100K series and package them into 3 video packages, so there is one on 3bet strategy and another on postflop strategy. I also sent out an email yesterday (hint, if you were on my email list you would have gotten it early, so go sign up for the email list!) letting people know that until January 3rd you can buy both for just $12.5/video. Just click here if you are interested!: LINKY (you should ignore all of that if you already bought the 100K series as these videos are directly from that series!)

This week is shaping up to be pretty busy with a few students already booked up and some office work that needs to get done. I’m also considering getting my resume back in-line and shopping around. I think one of my goals this year is to get a “normal job” simply to learn some new skills that I might not otherwise learn doing what I’m doing. I’d really like to work with a start up company so that I can help grow something new…but we’ll see what’s available when we get there. Hope all is well with you, and good luck grinding in 2012!
